Northern Lights Cape - COMPLETE!

One year later...I FINALLY finished the Northern Lights Cape!!  Yeah for me!   I'm praying that this fits Edie this winter.  If not, I will absolutely cry. :)   I almost gave up a few times but I'm so glad I continued.  The 100% alpaca wool by Knit Picks is so soft and beautiful, and is worth the expense in my opinion.  

This was my first steeking experience, and it wasn't as bad as I thought.   :)  I had the good fortune of going to Fancy Tiger's knitting help night and got 1:1 help.  Without that, I don't know if I would have figured out how to do everything because the instructions were a little difficult to follow. 

So alas, I can finally enjoy this beautiful piece while my daughter wears it for a few more days until warmer weather hits AND I will keep my fingers crossed that she doesn't outgrow it for this upcoming winter. 

Would I recommend this pattern?  Only if you're a patient person.
